Big Ed and his wife Linda will be in attendance at the Penn State game next week. Ed used to be the sports information director at Indiana State during the school's glory years, having Larry Bird, Wally Johnson and Kurt Thomas to publicize and promote.
Ed went on to become the P.R. director of the Indiana Pacers and then as a media relations coordinator for Special Olympics in Washington, D.C.
He is now an assistant athletic director for media relations at George Washington University. His wife used to be a teacher at Terre Haute South.
Ed wrote me today and said that he would love to see as many of his old ISU friends as possible at next week's Penn State game.
