Thoughts: I believe the biggest factor in college football coaching in many areas, but especially in the recruitment area, is networking. Though, with his son and from his past coaching history, Coach Sanford seems to have a pretty good midwestern presence, it is clear that his recruiting wheelhouse, from a networking standpoint, is the West Coast and Western States. Will, this kid be a stud? Tough to tell. His tape looks okay, but, frankly, is not eye-popping. What he gives us is depth which we desperately need. I said this before and I'll say it again, though the QB is very important, our fortunes in 2016 will be far more determined by 2 factors: 1. The offensive line. (Ability to run block and especially pass block). 2. The defense-having lost 4 outstanding key players, can they be a positive factor for us? I am an optimist and think we'll be okay.
