ISU's Wampler has already been highly accorded by Auburn's coach. Lipscomb also has hot glove in Melbourne HS, FL native MIKE KORTE:

Korte's HS coach, Pete Donovan, began his HS coaching career the same year (1983) that I began umpiring FHSAA baseball in Brevard County. He's the "Dean" of area coaches in Central Florida.

ISU 10-6 win. Kudrecki threw a strong 5 innings again, although a tad wild on his control. Relief P of Dove, McElderry & Kolarik shakey at best. Keaffaber comes on w/ runners on 2B & 3B and only 1 out in bottom of 9th & extinguishes the fire (F4 for 1st batter, then striking out their leadoff hitter, who was 2/5 on the day for the FINAL out). The kid's a BEAR! Third save of the season.

Gonna need a couple dependable long relievers...not sure what the problems are. Offense looking good. Romero had another error @ 3B, season's 3rd in 5 games. When the weather breaks, he needs to be working on his glove.

The strike throwing staff from last weekend failed to show yesterday. Nine bases on balls; six by the starter. Hard to win with that many passes.

Kudrecki sure didn't have sharpness of last week's Auburn, but persevered thru adversity. Only 58 strikes in 102 pitches...
