Day #2 - Regional Summary

http://www.d1baseball.com/analysis/sorenson-day-two-regional-wrap/

- Bitch'n about the rainouts & NCAA Regionals - well people, if the NCAA would place GEOGRAPHY #1, they wouldn't have thi$ problem.

- My boyz @ OK St. are whooping ass, 12-2 over Clemson. This team knows BASEBALL! May not have the "studs" @ every position, but they compensate by KNOWING how to play the game, inside & out. Will ISU ever reach this level of proficiency w/ our current setup?

- The 'Ville crushes the Big Ten Buckeyes, 15-3... See:

Sunday - Dallas Baptist plays New Mexico again (def. Fairfield 8-5 Saturday), then the winner must def. Texas Tech twice to win the Regional. If anyone can do it, DBU can -they have excellent pitching depth.

DBU Still Alive...def. NM 5-3; Play Texas Tech NEXT @ 7:30 PM

Big 12 v. MO Valley...

10-0 DBU (top of 7th); Heefner will likely ride his "horse" (MD Johnson) as long as he can to save arms for Monday.

TT has scored 6 runs in the 7th on 5 walks...now 10-6 - DBU blowing it!

Day 3 NCAA Regionals Wrapup

http://www.d1baseball.com/analysis/sorenson-regional-wrap-day-3/

1. DBU almost blew a 10-0 lead in the 7th inning alone...play today @ 3:00 v. Texas Tech for right to Super-Regional.
2. Two (2) 2016 ISU opponets are locked in Super Regionals - OK St. playing GREAT ball now & Boston College is playing like the MLB Red Sox of old (w/ Yaz, Fisk, Rice, Boggs & #1 hitter of all-time, TED WILLIAMS).
3. The last Big Ten entry (MN) was easily eliminated, 8-2. Back to the Gopher hole for the Summer months!

The "homer" call between LSU & Rice is a sad reflection on NCAA umpiring. How could the 1B Umpire not see the ball under the RF foul territory pitchers bench? This is the type of shit we see @ ISU games.

Also, since when in BASEBALL can a ball be declared "dead" and then be made "live" again on the same play? :dead:
Would be like calling a ball "foul" then changing your mind.:disturbed:

N.C. State also has a chance to advance to a super regional with two wins over Coastal Carolina today. The Sycamores split with the Wolfpack this year.

2-Run Shot by Listi Ties DBU/Texas Tech 3-3 in 6th

DBU representing the MVC well...

Tech up 5-3. DBU 2-out rally snuffed in 7th w/ runners on 1B & 2B, as DBU's Millard was picked off 1B by a Tech 1st baseman initially playing deep. Sneaky dudes...

Tech wins Regional, 5-3. DBU ran outa gas...

***BTW, Tech has a player that reminds me of ISU '15 LANDON CURRY. His name is MIKE DAVIS...has a LH "open batting stance" and is aggressive.
