Nelligan Sports Marketing is looking for a talented, energetic employee in the Terre Haute, Indiana area to serve as General Manager at the Indiana State property.
Nelligan Sports Marketing provides sales and marketing expertise for sports properties worldwide. With over 30 properties being represented, NSM is dedicated to building long-term relationships with clients through exceptional management of each client represented and by maximizing revenue growth through our corporate relationships. NSM has a proven track record of helping universities generate the additional resources that are necessary to advance their most pressing strategic initiatives. NSM utilizes its expertise to maximize the value of the university's marketing assets within the framework of each individual institution's mission and philosophy.
The optimal candidate must have 5+ years of sales experience. Must be a high energy, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in sales. This opportunity is all about growing both this business and helping the university and its partners work better with each other. The chosen hire will be responsible for NSM’s business operations in the area including sales, new business development and day to day operations. Experience in sports industry a plus.
Specifically; the General Manager will be responsible for:
• Prospecting new business partners.
• Developing and pitching packages designed to meet the client's and university’s needs.
• Closing new business.
• Fulfilling advertising/sponsorship packages.
• Managing support staff.
• Coordinating with vendors and appropriate University personnel to ensure all contract fulfillments are executed within scope.
• Cultivating relationships with current and prospective sponsors.
• Entertaining existing and new sponsors during hospitality and athletic events.
