Well-deserved for both! Wished they had an "Honorable Mention" category for the rest of the Trees responsible for this winning streak! I listened to the SIU/Mke Rees radio feed for last weekend's SIU series, and Rees had nothing but good comments on the Sycamore crew, repeatedly emphasizing "THEY ARE GOOD!" I like Rees' style & his longevity behind the mike. He's seen the game and brings up relevant facts that ya can't find on your PC fingertips!

Here's the Aces stats for the upcoming Fri-Sun series in E-ville, They lead the MVC in SF's, so I hope that ISU's OFers (are ya listening Pottinger?) are working on their tag-play throws. With so many Aces LH hitters in the lineup, expect the ISU CF to RF area to be busy. Yes, those IFers also need to be privy to CUTOFF'S on offline throws, preventing those gimme scoring position situations.

I’ve heard a lot of conversation about Fenlong and the evolution of his cutter. It’s a cutter with sinking action. Justin Hancock has been a great addition to this coaching staff and the development of pitching.

Heard a stat where Spencer has a 60% swing and miss rate with his slider. Spencer profiles out to be a big league arm.

Agree totally re: Hancock! He's young, tasted MLB action (v. the Otter's in E-ville, which Tieg's shows on his resume even though they're NOT MLB affiliated) and handles his staff well during the various seasonal stages (an area that Tiegs failed miserably to do).

Now if Spencer would only get his hair trimmed, thus allowing him to hold the runner @ 3B tight...he must be a "House of David" protege.

***By the way, I have a photo which my grandparents had from the 40's when the House of Davis team played in Terre Haute @ Memorial Stadium.
