Andrew Lepkowski
Transfer via Lewis University (DII)

sycamorehoops.com: Let's get right to it, Andrew did you choose to come to Indiana State?

Andrew: I chose Indiana State because of their good aviation program and outstanding cross country and track program.

sycamorehoops.com: Well we are excited you choose Indiana State. What is your greatest running accomplishment to this point in your career?

Andrew: My greatest running accomplishment was qualifying for nationals in the mile as a freshman.

sycamorehoops.com: You are certainly a talented runner, hopefully you can help lead the Trees to nationals this coming season! If you could customize your own/favorite workout what would it be?

Andrew: My favorite workout would be tempo runs or 1200 repeats with 200’s at the end.

sycamorehoops.com: As a middle distance runner I always hated tempo runs, What is one song that get's you totally pumped up before a race?

Andrew: Bleed it out by Linkin park.

sycamorehoops.com: Ok ok, If you were not a runner what would you be?

Andrew: A cyclist.

sycamorehoops.com: Very cool, I am getting ready to do a 160 mile bike ride across Indiana on July 18. What advice do you have for younger runners that might want to run college track or cross country one day?

Andrew: Be committed to the sport and work hard in the off season.

sycamorehoops.com: This sport defiantly requires you to work your ass off in the off season. Any goals for the up coming season that you have set for yourself?

Andrew: Qualify for nationals as a team and improve my 8K time.

sycamorehoops.com: It would be great for the city of Terre Haute and Indiana State if we could have the Sycamores running in Nationals on their home course! Thanks Andy, Nationals in November will be here before we know it! Good Luck!
