No other sports story like it. 108 years, curses, crazy fanbase, extra innings, past legends, comeback from 3-1, rain delay, etc. It truly will never come close to be duplicated ever again at any level, let alone the highest level.
And while it feels amazing to finally win it, the Cubs lost a little bit of what makes them "The Cubs" last night. It's amazing that this "curse" has plagued 3-4 generations of Americans and kids today won't understand what 100+ years of baseball fans have felt with the Cubs. Truly a special moment in sports history happened last night, and i'm am so glad I stayed up wwwwaaaaayyyyy to late to witness it all!
