Very good insight and comments into yesterdays game! Gives some well deserved love to the freshman McOdum combo and especially points out how important Steve was to the outcome of the game yesterday. Totally agree with him, would have liked to see how many of his baskets were assisted by Odum? I can count 2 of 4?

He also talks about students once again not showing up for the game? Not to make an excuse for the students but do keep in mind today is MLK Day and students at ISU do NOT have class making for a 3 day weekend. 3 day weekends usually mean that a large percentage of students go home. That might have something to do with numbers being less than impressive. Hopefully the athletic department will push the hell out of this game Wednesday.

Good point SSOM. Didn't occur to me that it was a 3 day weekend. That could very well have had an influence on the number of students at the game.

Let's see what student attendance is Wednesday.

Students had no excuse. The three-day weekend doesn't give them one. They were just home over all of Christmas Break, they didn't need to go back home the very next weekend. I did notice that the students that were there made some noise, and hopefully that continues Wednesday.

I drove through campus - parking lots were full. Students were there...just chose NOT to go to the game. I'm sure many used football and our game being televised as an excuse to not go. That, and it was early! lol

The "powers-that-be" have their work cut out for them to get students out Wednesday night, be it visiting dorms, sending out Facebook invitations, going to fraternity/sorority chapter meetings, etc. There should be signage and blue/white all over campus for the next three days. Emails should be sent to professors asking them to encourage their students' attendance and to talk up the team. Little things like that go a LONG LONG WAY!!
