I don't know that I want to hear it, because in the political game that is college athletics, you aren't going to get the truth. You'll hear platitudes and wonderful, poetic words about how great ISU was, but this was best for the family, he's going to work with a friend, etc.

I don't care why he left, the fact is that he left. Let him go on to Oregon. We have a new coach, and I'm much more interested in what he has to say about the new direction of our team. Past is past, I'm ready for the future!

meggs leaves after a few years and heads to the northwest to washington.....kevin leaves after three years and head to the northwest to oregon.....who's next on the northwest express train????...lol.......

I don't know Todd Golden but I gotta believe mckenna's motives were:
- Salary increase; free Nike grear FOR-EVER; did I mention more $$$ from Nike??
- Work in a BCS conference
- No worrys of facing the 'media hordes' in The Haute
- mckenna's daughter can be part of the athletic media staff at Oregon instead of State
- The Eugene Emeralds (Northwest League / Class A - Short Season) -- they have a pro team; we have a summer collegiate team
