Nice win for the conference, regardless.

The Sycamores keep getting this kind of static from other fanbase's because of our recent past in both basketball and football no doubt.

When reading this kind of stuff what is really enjoyable from our perspective is that our teams are just beginning to be among the conference "Bullies" in both sports and no longer the "Bullied". Not the end of an era like some in the Valley..............Just the Beginning! But we need to "keep on keepin' on" for a few seasons yet.

Ever notice before a game every team in the valley is an unstoppable juggernaut and after all they talk about are the excuses why the game was close or why they lost to the trees?

Eh, it is what it is. Everyone is going to have their own opinions about everything, I wouldn't worry about it.

Playing devil's advocate, I could do the exact same thing for when Sycamores fans underestimated Syracuse's basketball team and Penn State's football teams.

Indiana State will not get the respect of other fans until the teams show some sustained success, but that really means nothing. If they go out there and win the MVFC, other fans can pout all they want, it really doesn't matter.

Underestimated? I dont think so. Take a straw poll around this site and you would find not alot of people expected us to win either game. Would have been delighted if we did but not unexpected we didnt...

I saw that post when he posted it originally. All I have to say is that if Illinois State thought they got hit by the ISU freight train in Terre Haute last year, they have no idea what they're in store for on October 22nd. I am totally NOT impressed with ILS this season at all, especially after BARELY beating a S. Dakta. St. team last night that is apparently going to struggle mightily this season.

I don't really listen to what other team's fans are saying anymore. I'm pretty sure that their respective football and basketball teams are thinking otherwise. All that matters to me is that we continue to be competitive in the MVFC and the MVC and that we continue to win championships.
