Larry was mentioned in one of the quotes in the middle part of it. But I didn't see the Big O, Oscar Robertson mentioned. Larry Bird and Oscar Robertson, 2 of the best to ever play the game, and they played in the Valley.

I wanted to puke the entire time I was reading that drivel. I feel dumber for having finished it...:barf:

Started off as a great article but no mention of Larry Legend and ISU's miracle team in '79 I mean c'mon everyone knows Larry and ISU from that year. Pretty sure this person is a member on this site but his name on ESPN is The Forest33 he stated it perfectly in quotes;
"Hard to believe they failed to include Larry Bird on a larger scale, you know one of the top five greatest players of ALL-TIME!! The '79 Indiana State run to the championship is one of the most important pieces for the history of basketball in the state of Indiana. Let us all remember the '79 Sycamores team brought of, "When March went Mad."

No truer statement as the Big O and the Bird are the two best College basketball players to date.

I guess he thought you'd need an ATV to reach Oolitic, Shawswick or Tunnelton (3 of the 5 schools that consolidated to create BNL) - too bad he failed to touch upon the ORIGIN of Hoosier Hysteria - the small town/community "spirit."
