Monday morning quarterbacking. Meggs turned this program around and turned over a good program to Heller. Under Heller, we had ups and downs and frankly, Hannahs did not get the quality of program that Meggs gave Heller. Thus far, Hannahs has done a turn-a-round of his own. But, during the pre-season, we played down (lesser quality competition) through no fault of Hannahs. We stumbled into the conference season and now we're battling a Wichita State team that is itself having an up and down season. (BTW, WSU has only won two games in its past three visits to Terre haute.) We have a long ways to go this season. Let's enjoy the successes, which we hope will lie ahead.
We have shown we are solid in the field and at the plate. We are still struggling with a too-small pitching staff. Only eight pitchers are in the queue for weekend games. If we lose a starter or a key reliever, we are going to struggle.
