Ya, I looked up his high school stats. All the potential of being a top starter for us.The #1 RHP in Indiana and #33 nationally coming out of high school. 95+mph fastball and great breaking ball. Hasn’t put it together at IU for some reason. He may need that Justin Hancock magic and we could have an ace.
That, and the fact we need starters.Did our success this season factor into his decision, I wonder.
Big question is whether he can be "re-groomed" quickly enough...we need a dependable LHP starter to throw in the middle of the rotation. Was hoping that the "Bulldog" could fill the void, but needs to yet develop 6 innings stamina. Any idea where he's playing this Summer?

These numbers are inarguably ghastly. My hope is that Justin can teach him a new pitch or two. The 95+ numbers give hope……The stats page for Hayden and the rest of the Swamp Bats

Baseball-Reference is also tracking his summer stats thus far:

I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He’ll get better coaching here. Arms like his are rare.Four wild pitches in 8 innings.
Yikes.
