Homecoming week! predictions??

WANTED: Passionate Sycamore Fanatics. That You?

Register NOW to join our community of die-hard Sycamore fans.

I don't see why you wouldn't if you can. My wife and I stopped in the college of Ed tent before the Bayh College of Education building was done, and they had housing designs and pictures out for everyone to see.

Homecoming is about Alumni coming home. To be among classmates, to show your wife and children where you went to school and to do some bragging if you can!

Everyone should be taking that opportunity to show off accomplishments... Toot your own horn! We all say that we don't do a good enough job of getting the word out and promoting the positive things at ISU...well here is a chance to do so...

On a side note but keeping with the thread as it were...

Eleven is absolutely right, homecoming is about alumni coming home!!!

However, for years and years and years the "students" have been in control of virtually every part of homecoming. From the events that surround it to other things...and this has lead to many younger alums thinking that homecoming is NOT about alumni coming home. Rather, they think it is about the "students" having fun, drinking, etc. The walk was created/started because ISU didn't provide any activities that younger alumni/older students wanted to do and BAM the "students" grabbed onto that too. Now that the alumni assoc,. is taking an active role in trying to host and have alumni events and the colleges are doing the same, I think that steadily we will see vast improvements (of course a winning team is helping even more). Just my thoughts on that.

All I am saying is that Homecoming is improving for alumni and slowly becoming more about alumni...I hope this continues!! Now if we can get the Union Board to realize this fact and have some of the events that alumni would love to attend at a more appropriate time (like Trike race) then I will be happy as a lark

Agreed, and to that point I'll add a headlining Homecoming Concert Saturday night at Hulman Center that will appeal to alumni!
