Napier is a STONE-COLD LIAR! I'm finding this story: http://network.yardbarker.com/colle...ng_incoming_homeless_football_player/16465534

a bit hard to believe. Figure he an 18-YO or 19-YO; he lost his mother at age 4 (15 years ago), he has little/no contact with his father but has survived both that hardship AND fleeing N'Awlins b/c of Katrina over 9 years ago...

How? And if managed to do it for the last 9 years, HOW has he managed to become a FBS prospect? And for those who've helped him for the last 9 years, are they NOW telling him to do it on his own?

Why?

I don't believe Turner's story OR at least how's it's been presented

I don't either. A couple articles I've read said HE made the choice to leave his father. If that is the case, you live with the consequences. He was essentially homeless because he didn't want to live with his father. Poor kid, at least he had one unlike thousands and thousands of his peers. I'm about sick and tired of not holding kids accountable for their actions. The orange slice and trophy for 38th place generation makes me want to puke.

Roll Tide

Now I know why they say Roll Tide for Alabama!

And a top ten nominee for the worst sports article ever written.....

Seriously, this guy actually doubts that there could be anything shady with this car because "the notion that Alabama would purchase a new Dodge Charger for a player already at the school is questionable at best". Are you serious? You really think that someone on staff bought this? They're called boosters! Here is an idea, try being a journalist and actually investigating how the kid got the car, instead of just saying " Well, nobody could be that dumb". It's called investigative journalism, ever heard of it?

It doesn't surprise me that SEC schools do this stuff, it surprises me how brazen and in your face they are about it.

I'd also LOVE to know why his girlfriend would let him sleep in her car but NOT on:

a. her couch

b. any available floor space

c. random spot in her home / apt, etc

d. he was ALWAYS going to be able to move into the dorms/other housing at Boise State on/about 6 June 2014... so in 3 weeks...

If you think they're brazen NOW, wait until the 'Power 5' conferences get the "flexibility" they desire... those (insert expletive of choice here) will make a Dodge Charger or other like car part of the 'Full Cost of Attendance'
