ORU doesn't play defense. SFA is basically doing a layup line.
I've wondered why we don't do that. We are one of the few teams in the country that have 5 double figure scorers shooting better than 33% on 3's. I think college and pro coaches are too conventional.

Totally agree. Why ORU hasn't moved to a zone is beyond me as well. So stubborn.

ORU on a 20-5 run since moving to the zone.
Certainly doesn't hurt to have it in the toolbox for stretches when you can't hit the 3 or need to get an easy bucket.
I would love to see 4 shooters on the 3 line and JO on the block. You could go in to him and he could kick out to the open man. Or he could make an inside move on his man. And he would be in there to chase the long rebound.
