$100,000 yr. "janitors" in the Chicago Public Schools didn't help this any. Truly sad that the corrupt politics of a major city w/ no self-control can destroy the whole State of Illinois, but it's not like this problem surfaced OVERNIGHT. With Obama @ the controls for two (2) terms and his once chief honcho (Rahm Emanuel) running the Windy City, is anyone really surprised?

*** Note the "shadow" over Bennett's left shoulder.

As far as EIU, look @ the enormous impact that this drop in enrollment is having on the City of Charleston and small businesses...

Carman Hall has been empty for quite a while at EIU. I think it needs demolished. Ive heard its in pretty bad shape. It used to be the dorm most freshmen stayed at and was full.

All of our state universities, except the U of I, have experienced dramatic student loss. I do think ISU might be doing OK. I think the House will override the governor's veto of the budget today, which might help. We are as dysfunctional as the federal government with a billionaire leader out of business who does not know how to work with others. He wants everything his way and was quoted as saying he was sure he would sign the budget if he got only 90% of what he wanted. In addition, the tax hike that is part of the budget is one he supported until a few weeks ago. We are headed for junk-bond status.
