In Allen County...Indiana State Who?

Not that Indiana State hasn't advertised up here, they have....but it obviously takes more than slogans and Billboards to get NE Indiana's best, to consider ISU as their college of choice.

That's kind of interesting... My dad and uncle both born and raised in Fort Wayne came to Terre Haute to attend Indiana State, both graduated. My dad obviously still here in Terre Haute and my uncle back in Fort Wayne.

Either way at that time I am not sure that IPFW was even established and financially for my dad and uncle schools like IU and PU were out of the equation. I don't even think that Ivy Tech (2 year degrees) were as relevant then - I wasn't around so I am making assumptions...

I completely agree. I live in Fort Wayne and attend ISU during the school year and there is hardly anyone here that actually knows about ISU. It is kind of annoying. But in our state, we are kind of shadowed. At least with Purdue and maybe IU, and Notre Dame for Football. But I would like to see some ISU Advertisements up here.

Founded in 1963 and has expanded to 23 campuses, according to its Wikipedia page.

Also, I didn't realize IPFW has been around since 1964 (the official merger) or that it has over 14,000 students.

Couldn't agree more. I live a half-hour away from Ft. Wayne and I don't see or hear anything about ISU college or sports. For a state school they need to advertise a little more up here !!
