I love it when people representing Indiana State use correct singular/plural nouns. "Alumnus" not "Alumni". The deterioration of the usage of the English language is startling. Those in the national media are serial offenders.

My mother, who was pulled out of school when she turned 16, wrote and spoke better than most college-educated people today.

Love this hire, my dad and uncle graduated from one of the schools that was consolidated into WRV. JMV might just have to add him along with Coach Schertz to a weekly segment.

Glad you limit that love to ISU vice this board...

Tragic how many people cannot "break the code" on "Lose" vs. "Loose"

And poor language usage is a generational issue; the past generations are far better than today's....

e-mail and texting, esp tweets, etc are exerting great damage

now we should be able to recruit some instate players, that should create excitement for the fan base.
by the way, any work on JO joining the staff ?

Why would you even expect any more of Lansing's staff to be retained? JO was a great player for the Sycamores and just starting his coaching career but his loyalty was to GL ...... movin' on.

Not sure i agree with this. JO is a Terre Haute guy and an Indiana State guy. Sure, he is fond of GL, but i think he gets the business side of things, too. There was an interview i saw, can't remember who did it, but he basically said you have to move on when asked about the departure of GL.

Now that the players who chose to give up their "free ride" when they entered the transfer portal & have talked with Coach Schertz as to if he can use them or not but are still hanging out in the portal, isn't it time to fish or cut bait and remove them from the roster at gosycamores.com? If they are still in there looking for a new "prom date" they are gone - scholarship available.

That's not how the system works.

A player can enter their name into the portal; until it's been determined by the coach, staff that they will NOT be on the roster. They SHOULD be kept on the roster, regardless of the "platform."

On a related topic; WHY are YOU still on this platform?

You've added nothing to the fora since Lansing was not retained.

it's time Jason cut your bait, cuz it's time fish without you
