TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Indiana State football team, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Trent Miles, has announced its 15 practice sessions for the spring. The dates for spring practice have changed from a previous release.

The Sycamores are coming off back-to-back winning seasons, which marked the program's first since the 1995 & 1996 campaigns. Returnees for Indiana State include junior tailback Shakir Bell, who was one of the top three vote getters for the Walter Payton Award, as well as senior Ben Obaseki who was a national finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award.

Spring practice gets underway on March 30 and will conclude with the annual Blue/White Spring Game on April 21. The team will also hold scrimmages on April 7 & 14.

All practice sessions will be held at Memorial Stadium or on the practice field, adjacent to the stadium.

For the second consecutive year, the program is designating April 16-21 as Indiana State Football Alumni Week. All former players and coaches are invited to attend practices, the ISU Football Golf Fundraiser and the spring game during the week.

The highlight of Alumni Week will once again be the annual Indiana State Football Golf Fundraiser, which is scheduled for Friday, April 20 at Hulman Links Golf Course. Morning and afternoon flights will be held. Those interested in participating in or sponsoring the event should contact Emily Buxton at 812-237-7074 ([email protected]) or Darrin Barton at 812-514-8574 ([email protected]).

YES!!! All practices are open to the public.....

the only limitations are no video cameras and no regular cameras.

Will the scrimmage this Saturday, April 7 be after the 10:00 a.m. to noon practice or will it be during that practice timeslot?

Media can have cameras, yes

Fans in general, no. The reasoning is that fans tend to put videos up of segments of practices when new plays are being installed. Opposing teams tend to cruise the fan websites of other schools looking to turn up videos.

Picture taking is fine before and after practice. Or perhaps during a drill. But when the team goes into 7-on-7 or scrimmage type things, they tend to frown on videos being shot by fans.

How has practice been looking so far. You been yet Tom? Curious to hear how the QBs look.

I havent seen everything.....been having family and home issues....

I stopped by on Monday afternoon but I didn't stay long and didnt see much. I will be there on Saturday (tomorrow) morning though.

I saw the QBs throw some. Loncar has an NFL cannon. His release was sick! Perrish looked like a Ronnie Fouch out there. Both very nice players. QB shouldn't be a concern.

do you get a crowd for spring game? NDSU in the past only got 1500-2000 but last year was 3200 and shooting for 5000+ this year.
