hope opener Nov. 27th vs Buffalo

That is as late as I can remember a regular season home opener in a while. That is also Thanksgiving weekend so student section will be small.

Just looked up previous years schedules and two years ago I guess we had our home opener on Nov. 23 so that is kind of close but still 4 days a part.

13 homes games; so it looks like they made the Chicago tourney a round-robin instead of another home game?

Or is there some space to add another game (that would be 30, though Chicago may only count as 'one.'

Something tells me that Coach L. and his boys will do a better job of selling this team to the students this season. The extra numbers of students won't hurt either. But you are both right, what diff based on "previous" years? Three Saturday games in February means the Out-of-Towners will find a home during one of those games.

Looks like about a 22-8 record, 12-6 in MVC possibly as good as 2nd and hopefully an upset on Sunday in St. Louis. If we could be undefeated when we face Purdue that would really make that a good matchup.

Again the MVC schedules the Sycamores on consecutive Sundays to host games during the NFL Playoffs . on Jan 19 and 26th .

yeah I dont know if u can blame ALL attendance problems on the student section....I sure wont say there isnt a problem but I will go out on a limb and say it is in all areas

I don't know about you all, but I really think the first part of the "MVC" schedule could allow for ISU to get off to a pretty good start in conference play. Looking at this does anyone else agree??

Bradley * Hulman Center 7:05 p.m.
at Evansville * at Evansville, Ind. 8:05 p.m.
Illinois State * Hulman Center 7:05 p.m.
UNI * Hulman Center 7:05 p.m.
at Drake * at Des Moines, Iowa TBA
at Bradley * at Peoria, Ill. 8:05 p.m.
Creighton * Hulman Center 1:05 p.m.
Missouri State * Hulman Center 7:05 p.m.

Student enrollment up..more kids at game..for the first couple of ones anyway..Sycamores need to play some good basketball first couple games and that will keep the kids interested.

That should be no problem. All they have to do beforehand is win four road games, two on a neutral court, and three at home......................to go into the game with PU undefeated.

:krazy:

Which would be different than....?

Different that all other home openers. Students always show up in huge numbers at the beginning of the season. Then we lose to Ball State or some other crappy team and nobody comes back.

Bad timing for a home opener. No band, either.
