We actually have a position called 'Senior Woman Administrator"? ROTFLMAO.

If that is correct, shouldn't her new title be 'Interim Woman Director of Intercollegiate Athletics ISU'?

As someone with a wife, sister and mother, not to mention numerous female friends and colleagues it sounds like a good practice from the NCAA.

I think Angie is a logical choice for interim AD. I wonder how common it is for a spouse to serve as AD at the same school where their husband/wife is a coach. I'm sure it happens all the time at the high school level (principal and teacher/coach) and outside athletics at colleges. Bent20 --- Thanks for the research on this long-time position at a LOT of institutions.

Too bad other SycPride members don't have your enlightened perspective.

Happy Winter Solstice!

Conflicts of interest occur every day in the business world, I know our local school board members have to file conflict of interest reports at the beginning of each year and if a topic comes up that effects the income in their household they can not participate in the conversation or have a vote in the matter.

Yep, if you follow her on Twitter she typically will post some nice stuff from the NCAA yearly meetings, too.

The Position of SWA has existed at Indiana State since at least the 2001-02 academic year; in 2001-02 Ms Gail Barksdale held the position.

Angie Menser has been in the job since ~2011.
