I hated to hear that Harry would be ineligible, however, I don't think we should get into a "the-sky-is-falling" mentality because of it. It'll hurt, of course, but I have been guilty of forgetting that we have some really talented newcomers this year, probably a deeper class than we've had in years at ISU. Tyler Cutter promises to be a great PG, Carl Richard's limit is merely how hard he works, and Rashad Reed is a more than capable PG that has game experience. And don't forget that we've got Tunnell, Stinson, Martin, Printy, and a host of others coming back from a team that was oh-so-close to breaking out last year.

The loss of Harry for a month really hurts, but hopefully not as much as we might think. We're so conditioned to the bottom falling out that it's hard to even consider another path. However, until they prove me wrong, I'm going to believe that we'll be OK and grow stronger from this. And maybe this will be the year where our record after Christmas will be better than our record before...

Your thoughts???

Hit those books Harry!!!!!

And I forgot to mention that we might actually have a healthy Brant Leitnaker this year, which if his body is any indication, should make a tremendous impact on our inside game. He sure looks the part, and I can't wait to see him in action!

Plus, I forgot to mention Aaron Carter, who at times last year proved that he certainly can play at our level! This kid has not only the skills, but the mentality to make great strides.

Yeah, I think this could be a good year. Probably not great, but definitely good. Over .500, I think...
