ISU softball on the downswing

ok, maybe a new name to the thread title to give the girls some reverse karma. After being on a huge upswing in the non conference schedule the team has really hit the skids. Today they lost their ninth straight game and in this 10 game homestand they went 1-9, winning only over St. Louis in the first game.

Noticed the team commits a ton of errors, so that is obviously an issue. Correct that and they will start winning some games.

They're on the road for the next 6 games. They have done much better away from ISU, so maybe we can expect some wins away from TH

They're now 0-6 in MVC play (lost again today to UNI) and reside in last place once again in the MVC. Might take a few years to get this particular program going in the right direction. Just got to keep trying. Volleyball is in the same boat, so hopefully between the 2 sports they get things turned around one of these years.

You crack me up! I think it's going to take time, patience will be a great asset because it takes even longer in year smaller sports to complete a turnaround.

Are the errors due to bad fielding or bad pitching? Either one is hard to fix, but i'm certainly rooting for them.

well, changing thread titles didn't help the girls tonight. They lost their 10th straight game at Illinois tonight 7-2, it was tied 2-2, then the Illini scored 5 more to win handily

Volleyball actually went to the MVC Tournament this past season. Things are beginning to improve there. It's a tough league in this sport as well. There are some schools who are powerhouses in volleyball.

girls got run-ruled in game 1 in Omaha 9-0, so they're now 0-7 in MVC play

well, the girls got off to a 4-0 lead, scoring 4 in the 3rd inning, but promptly gave up TWELVE runs on 9 hits in the bottom of the inning, so in the 5th CU leads 12-4, ISU will be 0-8 in MVC play after today.

ISU got run-ruled again and lost 12-4, bummer that they could not hang on to that early 4-0 lead and grab an MVC road win.

well, the Sycamores got to play a full game today, but didn't score any runs in a 4-0 loss to Creighton, ISU is now 0-9 in MVC play.
