Now 3-0 ISU going into the 5th.
Sycamores were cruising until the bottom of the 6th. A 4-0 lead is now 4-2 with the bases loaded and no one out, thanks to some hits by Ohio State and two errors by the Sycamores.
All tied up at 4 going into the top of the 8th.
Ohio State gets two in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-4 lead with the Sycamores down to their last three outs.
Sycamores tie it up 6-6!
Curry gets hit by a pitch
Zimmerman singles, Hayes gets hit by a pitch.
Fitzgerald flies out scoring Curry, Romero follows with a single that scores pinch runner Gutierrez.
Runners on 1st and 2nd with two out.

1- Good to see Curry go 3/3 (2 runs) to lead the ISU assault; he's got good wheels & can pressure the "D;"
2- Zimmernan in a sub role @ 2B goes 2/5 (1 run);
3- Heart of ISU batting order w/ 6 hits & 6 RBI's;
4- Lunsford throws a good 5 innings w/ only 1 ER; 38 of 68 pitches strikes;
5- The frosh Keaffaber gains the save, 8 of 11 pitches strikes while mowing down 3 straight in bottom of 9th.

Nice to start a new season with new coaches and youngsters with a 3-1 record. Friends and I are planning a few trips to the Haute and watching these guys play. But, seriously, it's gotta warm up first.:lol:
don't know to much about the players on the roster this year as it seems like we've lost a lot from last year. And the only thing i know about Hannahs as a coach and a player is from all the ole farts in this forum. but anytime you beat Ohio State in ANY sport is an accomplishment let alone do it twice in two days!!! great start to the season Sycamores!!!:sign-logo:

Looking forward to freezing weather in Terre Haute after great weather in Florida.Hope the guys stay hot though.Great start,looks like preseason predictions may need some revision.Keaffaber looks poised and ready to be the closer.Our hitters are aggressive but still selective waiting for their pitch.
ditto what TREEMAN said, anytime you beat OSU 2 times in 1 weekend then all is good! I know the Big 10 isn't the best baseball conference, but still, great wins by this unknown team of players!
