Indiana State’s Koby Kraemer, who led the Sycamores with a .700 batting average during their weekend baseball set at Wichita State last weekend, has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week, according to an annoucement Wednesday by the league office.
Kraemer joins senior pitcher Devin Moore (March 27) and sophomore outfielder Landon Curry (March 20) on the list of ISU baseball student-athletes who have been recognized with the weekly award so far this season.
The Terre Haute native tallied three multi-hit games and three doubles during the Sycamores’ series in Wichita, Kan., scoring three runs over the weekend. Kraemer posted another multi-hit game against Purdue on Tuesday, going 2 for 4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored as the Sycamores won 10-5.
