Terrible start time (noon)? Don't they realize that season ticket holders work during the noon hours? They have treated season ticket holders like shit this season. One weekend you have to choose between them and the Colts the next week they are playing a noon in the middle of a work week.
 
BUT...fans are invited to enjoy "Lunch At The Center" as a discounted lunch package featuring a hot dog, popcorn and a Pepsi product will be available for just $5! :)
 
Oh that's right - maybe I can catch the first half, but I am not going to watch the 2nd half at the expense of me staying in the office until 6:00 2 days before Christmas.

Don't forget the 2:00 start time on New Year's Day and a Sunday afternoon game during the AFC championship game. :krazy::naughty::censored:
 
wow! see I hadn't even looked ahead to that... They must not realize that this is more of a Colts town than a Sycamore town, sad as it may be...

Wow I really do not want to lose to IUPUI again, especially after what happened last year at Conseco. We need to show up with everything we've got!

Nothing sad about that. This is a Colts state! I've seen the Pacers and IU move game times to accommodate the Colts. For some reason, ISU hasn't figured that out yet. :krazy:

I'm pretty sure that special is FREE.
They've used really bad wording on that advert. I think it is supposed to be a coupon good for $5 free meal.

I think it's great that this is a Colts state and as good as that organization is you can't really expect fans to choose anything over the Colts. I guess what I was saying was I just wish their was better planning on the part of the schedule makers to avoid such conflicts - however it would appear that they looked for the days that Colts games were on and they decided to have a game on that day. lol Because we all know that the Colts are going to be in the AFC Championship game - I can't really see anyone missing that game, since the Colts will be 1 game away from perfection lol

If you're talking about the January 24th game against UNI, that's on Fox Sports, and I betcha that ISU had no control over the game time. I'm pretty sure those games are dicatated to the schools by the conference. And no, I don't think we actually have any pull with the conference to get them to change the TV schedule for us...

It's just sad that it works out that way. Maybe (hint, hint if you're reading this, ISU people) something could be worked out to make the day a big COLTS party with the game on the big screen, particularly if it's a 4:00 game. Just a thought...you could have tailgating outside HC, lowered ticket prices for the ISU game, Colts and ISU merchandise for sale in the arena, etc. Take a little coordination with the Colts and the NFL, but it would be worth a try, if the Colts are in the game. Of course, if Caldwell rests the starters the next two weeks, the Colts won't be in the AFC championship game anyway...:bigsmile:
 
this game makes me nervous, IUPUI is actually pretty good this year, and they KILLED ISU last year, I really hope the guys remember that thrashing and come out and win this game decisively!

and I think that lunch is a "free" lunch, the wording is really bad on that coupon, I printed it out too.

I believe it's hot dog, popcorn, pepsi...but I read it as costing $5. I don't think it's a $5 value. Popcorn alone is $2.50. Sounds like it's a coupon to get all three for "only" $5. Until someone gets confirmation, don't assume it's free. I can't imagine them giving away that much free food and drink.

imagine the chaos if it is free though! It'd be nuts! And we might see hot dogs thrown on to the court AGAIN!

Perhaps the copy was poorly worded- but to clarify: the coupon will get you a hot dog, popcorn and drink for $5.

Think it is pretty poorly worded... unfortunately...

"Bring the attached coupon and have lunch on the sycamores."

Not sure how that could be confusing....
 
Yeah I was pretty sure that "lunch on us" theme pretty much came across as me eating lunch for free if I had the cupon... I guess they will have a bunch of question on game day, because I can assure you that not everyone that got that e-mail (Chamber of Commerce members) gets on Sycamoreshoops.com lol
