Jake Kelly on the radio...Indy area

I heard this afternoon on 1260 - WNDE Indianapolis that they are going to be interviewing Jake Kelly next week. I will try to post a link to the interview when it is available.

This is an important recruiting tool for the Indy area kids...

I got word from the host of the show on WNDE that Jake Kelly will be interviewed on Friday, the 30th. I'm not sure what time yet.

Yes, it is good to hear that they are interested in Indy. I will say that a big part of this is due to the fact that he is from Carmel (they had him on previously while at Iowa). It also helps that the host of the show is an ISU alum.

If it's JMV he's an ISU alum. He talks about ISU annecdotely quite a bit.

Jake will be on 1260 WNDE (Indianapolis area) sometime between 3 & 7 PM, Friday. After the interview is complete, they usually make them available on http://www.wnde.com

Some BAD news...

Jake Kelly was unavailable for the interview today because he has the flu.

Hopefully it isn't anything too serious, and hopefully the whole team doesn't have it.

I like his comment about anything less than making it to the ncaa tournament this year being a failure. I think it's a realistic goal. Now we have to go out, starting tonight, and just do it.

That was a great interview. Great questions were asked by an insightful and respectful guy and even better answers were given by a terrific young man. You gotta love his pride and lofty goals for this team. He said "I have had great feelings about teams before, but this year is different. I really think this team can make some noise and be right near the top of the MVC."

and at the end of the interview he said "Anything less than a trip to the NCAA tournament would be a FAILURE."
