But it's still a White Out and it's still on CBS SPORTS NETWORK, so we need to have a big crowd! We need dem students to show up!

Students 1st week back from break, Saturday evening game before the parties kick off that nite...do they Rally at the Bally anymore? Can we give $1 off beer for anyone over 21 with an ISU ID card??

Shoot, I got my games mixed up. Nope, that is the blackout.
I did a towel give away my junior year and got the bowl to wear blue. I was amazed at how much printing 5000 towels with marketing cost. Roomies and I went to about 15 businesses for donations. TAB did the printing. I think it was the first national game in a while. Don't even have one of those horrible (and they were bad) hankies. Anyone who has one kicking around, I'd love to see how they aged :)

Perhaps it was a valley game vs Illinois St (?)

I don't know how true this is, but I've heard from an unreliable source that someone has purchased 500, adult sized Inflatable Dolls. and that they're going to place them in the ALWAYS EMPTY Lower Bowl Seats with WHITE SHIRTS on them. Has anyone else heard this from their rumor mills?

With this being a white out game and being on national TV why not allow all fans to sit in the lower bowl? I mean it's one game, let everyone move down, it'll be louder for the players and look a hell of a lot better on TV. Come on ISU it's one game, let everyone sit low. And the team deserves it with the effort they've been giving these last couple games

I sat in the first row the last game I was at with a cheap nosebleed ticket. They might try lowering the cost of sitting in the lower bowl. Let's be honest, $25 is kind of steep for Terre Haute. Or maybe only charge something like $15 to sit in the upper half of the lower bowl, and $25 for the lower half. Most families of 4 in this lower income area are not going to spend $100 plus however much in concessions to come to a game. It's time to quit pretending otherwise. Last I checked ESPN+ is $7 a month.

What harm would it do to allow all fans to sit in the lower bowl for the best team in the MVC coming to town? Maybe we have an exciting atmosphere, we win and generate new fan interest in ISU basketball during the start of this new ERA, and then more people start coming to the games in person? Probably makes too much sense though

Not where I thought you were going when I read the words "adult sized inflatable dolls"

Even cheaper if you have the bundle with Disney Plus and Hulu :)

Part of me believes they really are holding out for some circumstance where magically 8000 folks show up out of nowhere. Like what will they do if they allow steerage to sit in the lower bowl if all of the season ticket holders show up and a couple thousand people show up day of to buy a lower bowl ticket?? We just can't have that I guess.

Several years ago in a WNIT game between ISU and Marquette all lower bowl tickets were available to the
general public (other than those sold to season ticket holders). By filling the lower bowl it added a big game atmosphere to
the event.
ISU could go undefeated the remainder of the season and still not draw 8,000 fans.
I wish that was not the case....but it is. Remember.....in Bird's sophomore season there was one sellout and
it was the final home game of the regular season.
Thanx.

We've beaten Loyola at home the last two years, and we played them relatively well on the road back in December. I think we give them all they can handle again on Saturday.

You have to remember that most of the lower bowl seats are already sold. Their owners may not show up, but you can't just let people sit in those seats, because what if the owners show up? Then you're going to have a fight on your hands.

And if you sell the single game lower bowl seats for less than what the season ticketholders pay, why would anyone become a season ticketholder?

I get what you're saying about filling the lower bowl, but this isn't some general admission high school game. There are a lot of moving parts here. People pay good money to get those seats and since those folks are donors, you had better take care of them...

I have a couple hankies. One is a blue Ford and the other a white one with the sycamore logo put out by the student alumni association. They have been made into a pillow.
