They are really solid offensively. Defensively they do allow you to score points though. Jackson, King, and Doman (6th man) are really good. Then they have the rest of the players who compliment which includes Ryan Miller’s nephew (son of Former NBA player Mike Miller). They are like us in terms of getting to the rim or 3 point shots. This will come down to who makes the most shots.

Murray has some big athletic guards; they are going to be an issue. This would be one of those games slowing it down wouldn’t be the worst strategy in the world

It's the day before game day and I'm ready for disappointment as I wonder...

What will it take to give the Racers their first loss of the conference season?
If we're able to pull off the upset, what does that say about the resolve of this team?
I believe Hunter will be available?
But if so, how many minutes would he even play?
Are the Racers hitting their stride?
Or are they just riding a relatively easy MVC schedule to date?
Will this be their biggest home attendance of the season (5,214)?
Will Camp shoot 1-10 for a second game in a row?
Will we have five guys scoring in double-figures for a second game in a row?
Will the Racers be able to contain our Nordic Nuisance?

We upped the pace in that first half against the Redbirds and blew them off the floor. It was when our pace dropped in the 2nd half that they got right back in it. When we slow things down, we seem to get awful shots.

True. But Redbirds aren’t a very athletic team. Racers are a very athletic team and big and long. I could be way off but I’m not too sure playing fast against them will reap the same rewards as Wednesday night. But when we play slow we suck so maybe that not a good strategy either

Execution.

Probably have to space them out even more, quick reversals, and passing needs to be fast and on point. More passes to space although this ups potential turnover risk. But really, it all comes down to making shots.

Then defensively, probably need to completely sell out to stop transition with like 3 people instantly retreating when shots go up and then probably zone them to death with various looks to hopefully confuse them. When they do take it out after made shots, occasionally pressure full court to force them to have to slow it down.

Can you add one more? Which ISU team shows up to play? Jeckel or Hyde??

If Vorst and both Hardings don’t play, I have no idea what we’ll do if ESB or Scott find their way into some foul trouble. We might have to seriously consider playing zone. Like a 1-3-1.
