I hope you are right. It's the same old thing, make sure all the Purdue and IU kids make it (they are good players), but to put two kids on the team in honorary spots because they were injured all year and couldn't play is crap. I guess that means they were no doubt members of the team before the season started. There has always been kids get the shaft because of this. I played and graduated with one. They put a kid on the team in 1990 who was going to Purdue that didn't deserve it. The best part was, he transfered after his freshman year.

Yeah, that honorary bullshit is just that.

Sorry, you were injured. You didn't play. You don't get accolades. Shit happens and that's life. It's as simple as that.

Yeah no joke...Bronson didn't get that treatment...Gotta take care of the IU/PU boys though

Agreed, I was just getting ready to say the same thing and saw this post. Bronson at least played during the season and was having a good year, til some idiot changed his career.

It's not the first time this has happened, what's the name of the Columbus kid who was injured in a car accident, missed the season, went to Vermont? New Hampshire?... Happened in the last few years

Thinking that Kevin Thompson made the team and THEN was diagnosed with cancer...

Little different when u are talking about cancers or the type of accident josh was in. My point was Bronson suffered a far worse injury during his sr yr on the court and got nothing...but the PU kid gets an honorable spot because?? ..All I'm asking for is consistency..Shouldn't matter where you are attending college.

Thompson made.the team honestly, pretty sure he was diagnosed as school started in Aug his frosh season... Maybe when practice began...

Spiedel (sp?) suffered a nasty car accident, no fault of his own but kessinger also suffered a nasty accident/injury during a game, also no fault of his own.

Regardless of how/where injury was sustained, th all-star team should NOT have "honorary members" period.
If they're going to do it, the name ALL HS seniors to the team, regardless of ability, career, etc

It makes a mockery of it
