The parallel of overcoming a "losing streak" come tournament time has multiple ties to ISU...

Furthermore, UK's THS product (AJ Reed) was suffering thru hard times @ the plate, very similar to ISU's cleanup hitter, Rob Ort. I obviously see things a helluva lot different...

BTW, Reed is the only freshman among the 10 finalists for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award, presented by the College Baseball Hall of Fame. The pitcher/first baseman has a .311 batting average, a 5-2 record and a 2.62 ERA.
