TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State continues its eight-game home stand this weekend as the Sycamores take on Evansville in a key Missouri Valley series against the Purple Aces. The three-game series is set to begin on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., while Saturday is set for 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. All three games are set to be carried live on ESPN3 and 105.5 The Legend.

Doubt this is gonna happen..RH Nick Smith is thowing for UE in the #2 slot, and has been a beast lately. Keeps his pitches low and works the corners well w/ his slider & FB. Should be a good sign to see how the ISU hitters will stack up v. the upper echelon of MVC pitchers coming down the stretch.

Cutts has looked good in his last few outings...maybe even vying for the ISU #3 slot!

Looks like it might be Cutts in the 3 slot as Fenlong was brought in for relief tonight.

I was down@ my bros in-law's in Boonville last night watching Game #1 on ESPN3. This was one of the BEST college games I've seen in awhile...BASEBALL & BASKETBALL still has those vestiges of rivalry, something not present w/ other MVC schools. Great coaching decisions, typical blown umpire calls, small & long ball. We'll likely see more of the same today.
 
Down 7-0 into the top 6th, I can understand your serious baseball dialogue. At the current rate, perhaps we'll see your THN icon in the 9th inning?

As soon as I turned it on in my truck Evansville hit a 2 run shot in the 1st inning. After they went up 7-0 I shut it off. Just not our day, but hopefully we can bounce back and win the series tomorrow.

The wind was pretty crazy today. I was driving from Indy towards Bloomington on I-74 and the wind was really pushing on my truck hard. When I got on I-39 I had the wind at my back and was getting some really good fuel mileage.

When your down 7 runs in baseball and the bats aren’t going on a day teams usually send the middle/bottom of the staff to the mound.
We play again tomorrow and hope for better fortune and the top of the pen got the day off to be ready for tomorrow.

Win the series and it’s a good weekend. We bounced back when Illinois State knocked us down in game two.
 
Evansville is a f****** beatable team. We got pounded today but they great thing about baseball is we get an opportunity to win a series tomorrow. I don’t panic when we have a bad game. Shoot the Cubs just beat the brakes off the Pirates today, 21-0. I’m a Cub fan but goodness, they are a beatable team. It’s called baseball and these games happen. Good teams respond.

Similar wind conditions today. We'll see if ISU's bats can adjust v. the day 3 pitching of the Aces. I look for Hannah's to start Cutts and hope to get 4 or 5 innings out of him. The rest of the bullpen is a tossup, although Hurth should have plenty of gas left after his 1 inning Friday.

Not the start you were looking for. Still a lot of game left and the offense is going to be needed. Wind is blowing out so 5 run lead is not unbearable this early in the game.
