Didn't he get 2nd team honors?
 
I'm telling you guys, most of these awards are decided before the season even starts. Once the media believes something is true, good luck getting them to change their minds. That would force them to prove themselves wrong from time to time. "They" dislike ISU and always have. The fun part is when ISU does win (like 99-01) and you get to watch them squirm. They love it when CU or SIU win the league. All of this is highly unlikely to change as we are the small public school in a small market as compared to the others. Sometimes you just have to kick their ass on the court to get the satisfaction you are looking for. If ISU gets to the NCAA tourney, do you think anyone on the team will give a crap whether they made honorable mention or 2nd team all conference? I don't. If they do then I believe their priorities are in the wrong place.
 
Its like when Brett Favre would throw a dumb interception and the announcers all loved him so they would say "thats just Brett Favre trying to make a play" but if the third string rookie threw the exact same pass, those same announcers would say "thats just a rookie mistake, dumb pass, etc". Media fawned all over Favre and he could do no wrong, no matter how many picks he ended up throwing in his career.
