I was just informed by a fellow Syc Alum that ISU's Gordon Stauffer was fairly confident that McAdoo was coming to Terre Haute, that is, until the "Dean" of NCAA coaches near his NC backyard entered the picture! Can you imagine what Stauffer's team would've looked like during McAdoo's final season, if...

Which is a cautionary tale with regard to recruiting against a Power 5 conference......hard to do. They (Power 5 schools)
can swoop in late and negate months of recruiting work.

hmmm.... given that McAdoo's own mother tipped off Smith; given that McAdoo was from Greensboro... given that he only spent 1 season in Chapel Hill

there's zero chance McAdoo would have spent 2 seasons in Terre Haute

to paraphrase the great Chevy Chase... Bunksh*t, you ignorant slut...

always interesting you tell people to do their homework, yet you fail, time and time again to complete your homework.

mcadoo was in the first NBA draft in which a college kid could declare "hardship" and leave early; hopefully he thanked Spencer Haywood for battling the NBA, allowing Bob to ca$h in a year early

depending on when the "modern NBA" is defined. 7 or so players left college early before McAdoo, add in the "blacklisted players" and it's closer to 10

McAdoo was leaning towards UCLA and the teachings of the Great John Wooden (Dean Smith couldn't hold Wooden's jock much less his rolled program)

McAdoo's father is sick, Smith calls and he's in Chapel Hill not Westwood

Poor 4Q...anyone who would condemn Dean Smith has to live in the depths of the lowest septic tank! Truly sad...

Uninformed, head rammed into an oriface Bunksh*t...

.808 .819 12 10 21 4
vs.
.776 .728 11 2 17 0

Smith wins 2 titles on fluky, complete bone-headed plays by the opposition and he's a "genius"
