As an aside from the current day Colts, I think Bill Polian should be put into the NFL HoF a second time based on how he handled the franchise while he was there. Funny how Irsay was seen and not heard when Bill was running the show.

Also rumors that Polian is being pegged to replace Roger as the head dude now, too.

I assume this post was inspired by Vontae Davis' release? They're a mess. Pagano should have been fired two years ago. Holding out hope Ballard will improve things from one off-season to the next, and that Luck will recover with more time to heal.

Polian is already in the Hall for what he did with the Colts. He was a great GM. Far from perfect though. Can be argued his close-minded approach (refusing to pursue free agents) also coast the team the chance to win more SBs, and much like some of our ISU coaches, didn't leave the organization with much talent when he departed. The offensive line and defensive problems can be traced back to the latter part of his tenure.

He also will be 75 next month, so I wouldn't believe those rumors.

Yeah, the double-standard with Davis injury and Lucks is interesting to say the least. I think you have to take care of players better than this if you want FAs to come in the future... or you'll end up having to overpay to land them.

Pagano should have definitely been canned and I think they gave Grigson too long, too. He took a roster that was in the top half talent wise and managed to blow it up so badly I'm not sure if you guys aren't in the bottom 8 right now. Luck's contract is also a pretty big albatross, especially if the rumors here in Indy are correct that he won't ever play again.

Find it nearly impossible to believe he'll never play again. If Peyton came back from not even being able to use his arm, I think Luck will make it back. People - the media - just like to sensationalize things.

That said, Brissett doesn't look like a bad alternative. There are a few things to be optimistic about with the Colts. The d-line is finally legit (MLBs are an absolute joke), Simon and Sheard are pretty good edge rushers (need one who is elite), the no-name secondary has been pretty good (albeit against weaker competition).

On offense, it all comes down to the offensive line being a disaster with injuries and guys who haven't lived up to expectations.

I sure do love to see how awful the Colts have handled Pagano, Luck and just the whole organization in general. Hated the #SuckForLuck trend. Hate to see Andrew Luck injured, he seems like a really good person. But to see the Colts so bad, it doesn't happen that often so its a pleasure to see unfold
