I'm happy for Manaea, but have never supported the collegiate/MLB "early exodus" rules, which work against mid-major programs like ISU that usually are more dependent upon "developmental" success of program player development. Just when the years of ass-busting tweaking begin showing promise, the heart of the program is shattered by the MLB draft. If MLB is gonna raid collegiate programs for players before expiration of eligibility, they need to pay a reasonable "developmental fee" to the college. Otherwise, the cycle NEVER ends.

Great for manea!!! Nice to get those high draft picks in there, hopefully other players across the state saw how he developed here and would like to come to isu
 
I was at the game last night; Manaea made an appearance on the big video board and got a nice ovation from the crowd. He seemed a little uncomfortable with the attention, which was honestly a little endearing. Good luck to Sean; I'll be following his career closely to hopefully see him in Royal blue one day.
