Terry Allen has resigned from coaching football at MSU.

Be interesting to see who they hire next

Will YSU release their coach this year too with their epic collapses 3 of the past 4 seasons?

Going to guess they gave him the option out of respect.

They'll get someone good, no doubt. Same with YSU if they make a move. However, if I'm a coach looking for a job, I don't think I want to coach in the Valley. I'd find a job in another FCS conference where I'd have a yearly shot at making the playoffs, especially if I have FBS coaching aspirations.

on the MSU message board they said his contract was up and would not be renewed. Agreed about coaching in the MVFC, tough league no doubt.

They said since Terry Allen started coaching there just them and USD are the only 2 schools who have not made the playoffs. (from the MVFC)

Hmmm -- if the Penguins make a change... anyone think the current YSU President (J. Tressel...) will pull a Dick cheyney and hire himself for the job?!?!?!
