Need a big performance from everyone against such a great D. I went with the receivers because we need them to hold onto the ball when Fouch gets it there.

It's a team game; that's the way you win or lose. That said, the O line will go a long way in determining the outcome of this game.

Let me tell you what i think:
I think Alex Jones is the key here. NDSU is taking a lot of the sideline perimeter plays out of the game with some really good coverage. We are going to have to test them down the field and in the middle of the field.

There should have been a complete O-line option. NDSU is strong up front and has put a lot of pressure on QBs so keeping Ronnie safe and establishing the run game early will be key.

Football idiot chiming in here...

It seems to me that we're going to need to be good at completing those mid-range passes over the middle that we've been dropping for the last few weeks. We need that to keep them from stacking the box in order to stop Shak. Our play calling needs to be varied and unpredictable, and we need to keep moving the ball forward.

We've got to be able to have some clock-chewing drives. I love scoring in one or two plays, but if we allow NDSU to have the ball for 40 minutes like we have on occasion this year, we're in for a long day.

Entire offense needs to perform...

Nice balance of run and pass...nothing long (passing)...just short routes that pick up first downs. Execution of low-difficult passing game...

Good field position throughout the game is VERY helpful and can help team momentum....so I'm picking "other" and going with kicking game...including punt, kick-off and both return games. Gotta convert all extra-points and makeable FG's....GO SYC's.

There is no question we're going to need our passing game to perform more consistently than it has for most of the season.
