Too bad for them, they missed a really good game. One of the better games I have seen this season. Went back and forth and after Eville ties it up with a two run homer in the bottom of the 8th, the Shockers re-take the lead with their own two run homer in the top of the 9th.
Shockers win 8-6, Eville now eliminated.

Why do Sycamore teams (speaking football, basketball & baseball) most always choke down the stretch. They roll along during a season, often as somewhat media darlings, and then can't close the deal.............year after year after year after..............
Looks like the top two seeds will be eliminated after today. We are just going through the motions. Two errors and one hit in four innings. Not holding out too much hope for a comeback with that line.

Sycamores are toast. Might as well go on home for the summer. Their fire and sense of urgency has all but disappeared.

And here I was looking forward to finally being able to see some games and watch the team this week. Guess I will do some yard work instead.

Stupid. Sycamores are going to get an AT-LARGE bid for the chance to go to Omaha. Pretty big fucking accomplishment if you ask me! Whens the last time the Basketball or Football got selected to go play in a real postseason? I'm so sick of ISU "fans"......This will be the 2nd time getting an at-large in what 3 years? Whens the last time that happened to any other program at ISU? I'm proud of this program and people need to realize how much success this program has had at Indiana State....Don't worry ISU will never host another conference tournament....ISU has pissed and shit on the baseball program for I dk how many years!

You're right, second time in 3 or 4 years.....but they did the same shit last time too! It gets old with these ISU teams....and before you go and bash our "fans", realize we get on here to vent some steam and release built up frustration. If we are going to just show up and shit down our legs like our last NCAA trip.....forgive me for saying I would rather not participate...and our play the last week has not inspired many to think otherwise.
There is some truth to what you say, but if you are asking me to not be upset by the terrible performance over the past two days, well sorry, am disappointed today, will be disappointed tomorrow. Probably two of our poorest games all season. That bugs me more than the loss. The MVC tournament, a game we have to win, and we end up with almost as many errors as base hits. At least Eville went down swinging. Three runs in 18 innings, at home.
On the positive side, you are right that we probably will be in the NCAA tournament (unless a ton of upsets happen) and considering what all of our expectations were at the start of the season, that is pretty darn good.
One fact remains, the only program at Indiana State that has shown any ability to close the deal and consistantly win championships is the mens track and cross country programs.
All they do is win championships, it's a culture of winning and most of you have given them the credit they deserve.
