the MVC indoor track meet is at UNI Saturday and Sunday, myself and some other 80s alums will be there reporting from the meet. We'll post updates as quickly as we're able.

As you all recall, last year we won both the men's and women's indoor titles. We'll try again this year but it will be tough, there are some VERY good teams and individuals at all the MVC schools this season.

at this point the MVC is rated the 7th best women's conference in the country for indoor track and field. I don't recall it being ranked this high before.

This week the ISU men are ranked 92nd nationally, while the women are ranked 49th

Marrero, Washington Are MVC Athletes Of The Week

ST. LOUIS – Indiana State sprinter Alethia Marrero and hurdler Adarius Washington received the Missouri Valley Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors for their performances at the Alex Wilson Invitational this past weekend the league announced today (Feb. 24).

Sycamore Men Picked First, Women Second For MVC Indoor Track & Field Championships

ST. LOUIS – The Indiana State men's track & field team has been chosen to win their fourth Missouri Valley Conference Indoor team title of the past five years while the Sycamore women are a slight underdog to pre-championship favorite Wichita State.

Sycamore Men, Women Set To Compete For MVC Indoor Track Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State track & field team is on the road this weekend as they compete in the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship Saturday and Sunday. The competition will be held inside the UNI Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Overall a pretty good day 1 for the ISU men and women. Both teams have good shots to win the team titles tomorrow. Still a lot of work to do though.

some highlights I can recall

John Mascari winning the 5000 and setting a new meet record (that had just been set last year)

Nicole Lucas breaking yet another school record, this time the women's 5000, while placing 4th.

all 3 women's long jumpers who scored for ISU went over 19 feet! Impressive!

Katelyn Rutz getting 4th in the women's weight throw with a big PR over 65 feet.

Going 1-2-8 in the women's 200

and Devyn Mikell with a huge PR in the men's long jump, going over 25 feet.
 
the meet begins on ESPN3 tomorrow at 2:30 EST, again, tune in to see ISU try to win 2 more MVC titles.
 
Three Sycamores Earn Gold; Lucas Sets Women’s 5K Record

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Indiana State sophomore Devyn Mikell soared to a career best in the men's long jump and became the first Sycamore to pick up a conference championship as he won the event on the first day of the 2015 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
