I didn't want to watch anyway...

If/when hoops and football transition, I'll probably pony up. On the plus side, it's cheaper than Sycamore Vision was.

That said, if I start paying for the service, I have heightened expectations in terms of production value. Will they still have student announcers? I could understand that for non-revenue sports, but I'm not sure I'd be cool with it for a paid service.

After reading the press-release at MVC-SPORTS.com my best guess is that we'll still get bball games (and other sports) that are student-produced and appear on ESPN3 for free, under The Valley on ESPN umbrella....but there will also be ESPN+ games, which I agree, better have professional announcers. With that said, I believe that BTN+ games are student-produced, and those require the paid subscription.

Dunno, I fully expect them to move hoops and football to this to make up for lost cable subs. I just read 2-3 articles and they have not been forthright with what all will be taken from ESPN3. Deadspin had that very question, too. When they are clear up front, that usually means the consumer will end up holding the bag.
