The basic problem are the "BCS bigots," an uninformed, casual fan fanbase nationwide (i.e. NOT FCS football fans) doesn't help; it's gotten worse with the creation of the Bowl Alliance, Bowl Coalition and BCS...

I think the issue is they want a brand they can build on like IA has done with the FBS and the BCS.
