NCAA agrees to historic $209M settlement over scholarship shortages

Get ready for the "athletes should be paid" nonsense to float your timeline. People still can't grasp (for whatever reason) they are getting paid already as well as this sort of thing is really only for certain schools -- this agreement only includes 11 conferences. These people keep pushing the argument and it's going to have a bad ending for mid-majors and below -- sports, programs cut, athletics cut, less overall opportunity for kids that really have no fucking business player college sports to trade that marginal athletic ability for a college education.

Official release. If I'm a baseball player, runner or in any other sport, I think I'm starting a class action suit to get my piece of the pie. They can make the argument that their sports are broadcasted on ESPN, FoxSports just as the football and basketball teams are.
