Creighton got a pretty good draw as the 2 seed at Oregon State, a regional they could win I'd guess.

Kind of disappointing to see only 1 MVC team in the field, especially when you look at some of the teams that received at-large bids. The MVC was the 7th ranked conference, yet conferences below the MVC got multiple bids.

Future MVC member Dallas Baptist did receive a bid however.

Creighton did beat Georgia yest. 2-1 out in Oregon, they are now in the winners bracket and will play Oregon State tonight.

Future MVC member Dallas Baptist also won, beating Oklahoma yesterday.

Creighton lost to Oregon State 5-1 last night, so will need to beat Georgia again today to stay alive.

Meanwhile future MVC member Dallas Baptist beat #1 seed Texas Christian and is now in the drivers seat of the Fort Worth regional. Whoever wins between Oral Roberts and Texas Christian will have to beat DBU twice to win that regional.

When does Dallas Baptist start playing in the MVC?

the DBU coach was just on during the broadcast of the TCU-ORU game on ESPNU, he said DBU is playing all the MVC teams next year (2012) on a trial basis. DBU will not participate in the MVC tourney next season. After the 2012 season the MVC will vote whether or not to allow DBU in to the conference as a full affiliate member.

Creighton's season is over, they just lost to Georgia 5-4 in 11 innings (I think anyway).

Dallas Baptist is getting set to play Oral Roberts in the championship game of the Fort Worth regional. ORU upset regional #1 seed TCU 8-4.

ORU did win last night, so DBU and ORU play at 8pm tonight to determine that regional winner.

DBU will now play California for the right to advance to the CWS in Omaha.

Wouldn't it be great to have a CWS participant enter the MVC next season, even if it is only on a trial basis?
