This sounds like an AI generated responseThis agreement between the NCAA and power conferences marks a significant shift in collegiate athletics. Allowing schools to pay players reflects a recognition of the immense value student-athletes bring to the table. It's a positive step towards addressing the long-debated issue of fair compensation in amateur sports. However, implementation and regulation will be crucial to ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of college athletics.
how many programs will shutter because this fucked decision?

it'll start with the non-revenue but how does it NOT consume entire athl departments? We talking individual sports? At the mid-major level and below, I don't see how it doesn't lead to quite a few sports getting cut. The programs are going to want to at least attempt to compete and the only way to offer revenue sharing (albeit at a much lower level) is to trim expense elsewhere. I'll be shocked if it doesn't.
