Did you notice how sparse some of the crowds were yesterday. What a shame they do not give more tickets to the four schools participating in the games. Rock CLeveland tonight.

You know, Bill, I was wondering about that yesterday when I heard somehwere that the game was NOT a sellout. If that was the case, why couldn't they sell ALL the tickets the schools needed (up to a point)? My guess is that they could at least double the number we sold and have less people dealing with scalpers/brokers etc. If you doubled the allottment to the 8 schools, that would leave over 10,000 for the general public. Now if I heard wrong and it is a sellout, then the argument can be made that the allottment system is necessary. I did see several games yesterday where there were large areas of empty seats and to me is ridiculous. For those of your going to the games, you likely will be amazed at the numbers that Ohio State and Syracuse bring as they are both strong "traveling" teams.Did you notice how sparse some of the crowds were yesterday. You going to Pepper's tonight?I'm going to venture a guess it has more to do with the archaic design of ticketing systems.
It could also be that the tickets are sold by session, and maybe those that watch one game of one session don't stay for the other, or those that only want to watch the second game of the session don't come early for the first.
Just a thought, but yes...I've definitely noticed how poorly attended some of the games have been.
