I was a fan of ND back in the mid-60's, starting w/ QB John Huarte & Jim Seymour, his favorite target. In the '66 "Game of the Century" v. Michigan State, I actually quit my Key Market grocery stock boy job in Newburgh so that I could watch the game on TV after the owner refused to "let me off" for that Saturday. Recall Terry Hanratty-Coley O'Brien-Mike Hardy-Nick Eddy-Jim Lynch-Rocky Blier...helluva team.

My '69 freshman ISU roommate in Jones Hall, JOHN PALMER, was a SB Adams grad. that lived NEXT DOOR to SB TRIBUNE sportswriter, JOE DOYEL. Boy, did we have a lot to talk about...

First read the title of this thread and thought it was going to be about North Dakota implementing some passing technique introduced by Parseghian. I didn't realize he was still alive, or was that young when he started coaching at Notre Dame.

He was the best Coach ever in my opinion, I grew up a couple of miles from the stadium, spent a lot of time on campus, he was always around the campus talking to the locals and student body, very gracious and humble man......heartbroken
