I know some of you have little to no interest in MVC wide boards (or already post on MVCFans) but I needed to get off my ass and learn the Xenforo forum software because vBulletin has had 4 security breaches within the last month or so. vBulletin is the forum software platform we've been on here at SP since we first launched in 2007 and the original creators sold off vB and created Xenforo.

Can you try the site out just to see how it works, what you do/don't like, how it acts as-is on a mobile device (there will be no Tapatalk) and anything else you can think of? For those of you that use mobile devices and/or tablets, the site has a responsive design so it should automatically adjust to whatever screen resolution you're browsing with. The end game is to get several months of administration on it so I am comfortable enough to then convert Sycamore Pride from vBulletin to Xenforo.

I won't lie -- it's also always irked me that a Creighton fan still owns the MVCFans conference boards.

It looks fresh, compared to the ... (ahem) competition. Looked nice on my phone as well. I didn't do any debugging though. I can register and test some replys and things.
 
If it will negatively affect a Creighton fan to have an alternative board emerge and take fans away, I will post on the new site!
 
Thanks all. As I mentioned, the main goal is to get this site off of vBulletin but there is no way in hell I'd just upgrade us cold turkey and deal with all of the fallout, quirks and what not. I've literally received an email nearly every week or two from vBulletin mentioning another security flaw and I'm just not comfortable with them any more long term. My goal is to get feedback and tweak the MVC site and then if all goes to plan, convert Sycamore Pride to Xenforo next Summer.

Be sure to check out the Pickem contests as well. That is something fun to do and I've got MVFC head-to-head and NFL in there so far. When the full MVC slates are announced, I'll be putting in the MVC hoops head-to-head pool, too.
